let me tell you our story

Hey there, fellow traveler!

We’re Jackie and Till - a couple of adventure-seekers from Austria and Switzerland, with a travel story that began in the most unexpected way. Our paths first crossed as students in sunny San Diego, California, and soon we discovered a mind-blowing coincidence: though we grew up in different countries, our parents’ homes were only 20 minutes apart! Crazy, right? Since that moment in 2015, a lot has changed… We fell in love with each other, and with the thrill of exploring the world. We’ve now travelled to over 25 countries together - and we’re not done! 

Once we returned home from the U.S., we just couldn’t sit still. While most of our friends weren’t quite as ready to drop everything for an adventure, we were already plotting spontaneous getaways. What started as weekend trips quickly spiraled into full-blown travel plans that took us further and further from home.

As we traveled more, we discovered our style: we’re budget-conscious adventurers who love the occasional splurge. We thrive on spontaneity and cherish the connections we make along the way. Whether we’re backpacking through new cities, road-tripping in strange countries, or treating ourselves to a unique experience, we’re always in search of the next unforgettable moment.

In 2020, we made a bold plan to take six months off and travel the world. Then—like for everyone—the world changed. But instead of putting our dreams on hold, we embraced the unexpected. We explored hidden corners of the world we’d never imagined visiting, proving to ourselves that the best adventures are often the unplanned ones.

By 2021, we’d taken our travel game to the next level with a rooftop tent and a trusty car that’s taken us through central Europe. Three seasons and 15 countries later, our little adventure machine has become our home on the road. We still can’t get enough of the thrill of planning the next outdoor escape.

But here’s the thing—we’re not full-time travelers. We just make the most of every chance we get to head out and explore! Thanks to our flexible jobs, we can keep working full-time while still squeezing in plenty of adventures. It’s a setup we’re super grateful for because it lets us chase those spontaneous weekend road trips or map out bigger journeys without skipping a beat. For us, it’s all about finding that sweet spot between work, travel, and those cozy days on the sofa. And honestly, there’s nothing better than coming back to recharge and dream up the next big adventure.
